Much like his hometown in the Carolina foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the music of singer-songwriter Brooks Dixon represents a meeting place between the mountains and the sea. Incorporating Appalachian folk elements, and the jazz-blues-soul of the Carolina Piedmont, Dixon's sound draws influence from folk-pop icons like James Taylor, Bob Dylan and Ray LaMontagne and is filled with a sense of nostalgic warmth. His latest album, "Rhododendron Highway" takes the listener on a biographical journey of life's twists and turns through an Americana lens.
The Brooks Dixon Duo will play from 6-8pm.
The Salted Fry Food Truck will be serving up their creative and delicious baskets of loaded fries starting at 5:30pm
