Spencer Gray is a guitarist and singer from Florence SC. The first instrument he learned to play was the drumset. His dad played at the church they went to and he followed behind him. Playing in the church band from a young age, he grew to love playing live music.
When he was in the 10th grade he started playing the guitar. he started listening to The Avett Brothers and wanted to emulate what he heard. From there, he developed a deep respect and taste for Folk music and its associated genres like Bluegrass, Country and Americana. When he progressed enough with the guitar, he started leading music at his church. Going to school at USC in Columbia he became the worship leader for his college ministry and was a music intern at his local church. Since then he has been playing around Columbia and Greenville.
He love music that relaxes people and lets them have a good time. His hope is that when you listen to him play, you’re able to enjoy yourself and the company of your friends. Some of the artists he covers are The Avett Brothers, Watchhouse, John Prine, Tyler Childers, Caamp, and the Grateful Dead.
